| Clinical Indications: | A deep wound swab is any culture collected from the wound > 2cm deep to skin surface. If collected
< 2cm, refer to Superficial Wound Culture. Testing is performed on-site at Regional Hospital Sites (Chinook Regional Hospital (Lethbridge), Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, Northern Lights Regional Health Centre (Fort McMurray), and Red Deer Regional Hospital). See below for test information. For all other patients, refer to Deep wound culture (Edmonton/Central/North) or Deep wound culture, swab (Calgary/South). | ||
