Clinical Indications:	Investigation of symptomatic vaginitis and cervicitis (vaginal discharge, odor, vulval irritation/rash, dysuria, or dyspareunia) Investigation for persistent urethritis in men (urethral discharge, dysuria, dyspareunia, irritation/rash) Investigation of asymptomatic sexual contacts of a trichomoniasis case
Test Includes:	Detection of Trichomonas vaginalis (TV) by nucleic acid amplification (NAAT) For testing in Calgary and South Zones, see Trichomonas vaginalis screen (Calgary/South) For testing in Edmonton, Central and North Zones, see Trichomonas vaginalis, NAAT (Edmonton/Central/North) Note: Testing for T. vaginalis is also routinely available as part of the molecular vaginitis screen.
