Specimen Collection Requirements: | Hospital sites in Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Red Deer, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat: Refer to Lymphoma Protocol - Client Resource. See "Test Resources" for link. Rural Suburban Centres/Clinics that do not have Pathology Departments: Collection sites/clinics/programs outside of the above hospital sites should continue to submit samples in formalin.
Contact Anatomical Pathology (during normal hours) or pathologist on-call (after hours) prior to doing a biopsy. GPRH, CRH and MHRH :

Test Resources: | AHS Anatomical Pathology Requisition (Consultation Request)
Lymphoma Protocol – Client Resource Leukemia/Lymphoma Immunophenotyping, Non-Blood Calgary sites, CRH and MHRH: TTM can be requested from the Flow Cytometry Lab using Request for Tissue and Bone Marrow Transport Media All other sites obtain TTM through UAH - Order from UAH Reagent Room using Client Supply Order-Edmonton Zone | ||
Stability and Storage: | Rural Suburban Centres/Clinics: TTM specimens for Flow are to be sent STAT on ice

Transportation: | Forward to the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory immediately.
Rural Suburban Centres/ Clinics: Contact APL courier and request a STAT delivery. Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH): Tissue must be received in the lab by 1100 to ensure same day delivery to Calgary. Medicine Hat Regional Hospital (MHRH): Tissue must be received in the lab by 1000 to ensure same day delivery to Calgary. | ||

Additional Test Information: | TTM media for transport must be at maintained at 4°C. Expiry dates are on the tubes and should be checked before use.
