Specimen Collection Requirements: |
Calgary Zone: Brain Biopsy: Primary brain tumor must be submitted fresh. Edmonton Zone: During normal service hours, follow site specific requirements for submitting fresh specimens to the lab. North Zone: For Lung, Chest Wall and Other CT guided needle biopsies, submit in 0.9% sterile saline. South Zone: Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH) Emergency Room, CRH and Medicine Hat Regional Hospital (MHRH) Labor and Delivery:
CRH only: On the container and requisition, please indicate the number of biopsies/prostate cores submitted in each container. | ||||||||||
