Processing:

Centrifuge and aliquot serum.

Calgary Zone: All collection sites other than Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane and Chestermere: freeze serum immediately.
All Other Zones: Freeze serum immediately.

Transportation:

Calgary Zone:

Calgary, Airdrie, Cochrane, and Chestermere collection sites: transport on ice.
Other collection sites: transport frozen.
Diagnostic Scientific Centre: Store frozen after receipt.

Edmonton and All other Zones: Transport frozen.
