Clinical Indications: | Anti-21-hydroxylase (21OH) antibodies are markers of autoimmune adrenal insufficiency, most commonly due to Addison Disease. Its use is limited to determining the cause of adrenal insufficiency and aiding in detection of those at risk of developing autoimmune adrenal failure in the future. 21OH should not be used for screening purposes. Results should always be interpreted in the context of clinical symptoms and adrenal functional confirmatory tests. | ||||||||||
