Specimen Collection Requirements: | For ThinPrep® Collection: Collect adequate sample using a cytobrush. Rinse brush as quickly as possible in the ThinPrep® vial by rotating the brush in the solution 10 times while pushing against the ThinPrep® vial wall. Swirl the brush vigorously to further release material. Discard the brush. DO NOT leave brush in vial. Tighten the cap so the black markings on the cap are past the markings on the vial. Containers must be securely tightened to avoid leakage. Place collected specimen in a sealed biohazard bag. One specimen per bag. Indicate clearly on the requisition that specimen is an Anal Pap and place requisition in outside pouch. For Edmonton Base Lab Testing:
