Test Includes:

Percentage and absolute counts of the following T cell subsets are reported: recent thymic emigrants, regulatory T cells, CD3+4+T cells, CD3+8+T cells, naïve, terminally differentiated, effector memory, central memory CD4+ and CD8+T cells.

Ordering Alert:

Please refer to specimen stability and testing schedule. Schedule patient collection time and location accordingly.

Calgary Zone: CBC with Differential must be ordered for the same specimen collection time.

Outside of Alberta: Send a copy of CBC with Differential report with specimen.

Collection Alert:

Specimens collected within Alberta must arrive to Calgary on weekdays. Check courier schedule before collecting. Do not collect on weekends and stat holidays. Specimens outside of Alberta must be collected Monday to Thursday ONLY.

Processing:

DO NOT centrifuge or freeze specimen.

Transportation:

Within Calgary Zone: Transport at room temperature.

All other sites in Alberta:

Transport at refrigerated temperature.

Outside Alberta:

Transport at refrigerated temperature by FedEx overnight shipping. Specimen must be received within 24 hours of collection. Fax the tracking number and requisition to 403-270-4135.
