Clinical Indications: | Detection of cold reactive antibodies associated with Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia and Cold Agglutinin Disease. Cold agglutinins can occur in a variety of acute infections including EBV, CMV, Mycoplasma Pneumoniae and some lymphoproliferative disorders. Cold agglutinins are usually IgM autoantibodies directed against the Ii antigens of human RBCs. No longer indicated for atypical pneumonia. See Mycoplasma Infections – Respiratory | ||
