Specimen Collection Requirements: | Test is referred to Children’s Hospital Colorado Biochemical Genetics Laboratory, please view Trimethylaminuria (TMA) with Creatinine Testing details for further information. Note: The performing lab recommends a choline load to ensure maximal sensitivity of the assay, but will accept a specimen collected without a choline load as long as the patient is on an unrestricted diet. Minimum 1 mL sample should be collected as a first morning void. Freeze sample as soon as possible. The Medical or Clinical Scientific staff approving this request will obtain the necessary clinical information from the ordering physician. | ||||
