| Clinical Indications: | Thyroglobulin is a tumor marker. Anti-thyroglobulin autoantibodies can affect measurement of thyroglobulin by interfering with thyroglobulin immunoassays and producing false results. These antibodies are present in up to 30% of samples from patients with Graves disease and differentiated thyroid cancer and up to 60% from patients with autoimmune hypothyroidism. | |||||||||
