Stability and Storage:

Store in a cool, dark place during collection. Refrigeration is acceptable.

Processing:

Record volume and aliquot 30 mL of urine into a STERILE CONTAINER for transportation.

Transportation:

If specimen will be received at performing location within 40 hours of collection:

Transport at refrigerated temperature.

If specimen will be received at performing location greater than 40 hours after collection:

Transport frozen.
