Rickettsia typhi & Rickettsia prowazekii

Test Includes:

NAT/PCR

Specimen Collection Requirements:

5 mL LAVENDER EDTA vacutainer- submit at onset of illness and during rash duration or febrile phase AND
If lesions are present then send swabs (preferably from multiple sites) in UTM
