Specimen Collection Requirements: |
Collect suspected arthropod/insect, worm/worm-segments, hair or skin scrapings into a dry, clean container or sterile screw-top container. Do not add formalin. Worms/segments may be submitted in sterile saline. Other specimens may be submitted in 70% alcohol. Close lid tightly and ensure it is not leaking. Wash hands. If submitting stool specimens for parasite examination, refer instead to collection instructions here: Ova and Parasites, Stool. | ||
