Clinical Indications:

Should only be tested during the acute symptomatic phase within 14 days of leaving an endemic area

Test Includes:

NAT/PCR - routinely done on blood and urine

Specimen Collection Requirements:

Dedicated 5 mL EDTA, AND
Dedicated 10-20 mL urine in STERILE CONTAINER, no preservatives
