Specimen Collection Requirements:

Follow the collection instructions provided in the collection kit. Verify the expiration date on the kit before proceeding with collection.

Test kits are available from Dynacare or from APL Patient Service Centers.

Test Resources:

The patient must bring two completed documents for their collection.

A completed Dynacare Harmony Prenatal Test Requisition.
The patient will be required to sign the patient consent area of the requisition.
A completed APL Harmony Test Form.

Stability and Storage:

Specimens must be kept at room temperature.

Processing:

Package specimens as indicated in kit instructions and forward to PPA for shipping. Ensure the following are included in the Harmony Kit box:

Prepaid Purolator Waybill Sticker

Transportation:

Package and ship the specimens on the day of collection using the Purolator waybill sticker provided in the kit. If received after courier cut-off, store at room temperature until next available shipping day.
Do not ship sample on Friday, weekend and/or Stat Holidays.

Book an appointment with the Patient Appointment Line at 1-877-702-4486 and indicate they have a “kit” collection. Specimens can only be collected:
