| Additional Test Information: | Specimen stored at 2-8 degrees C Do not air contaminate the specimen. Ensure the cap is in place on the syringe Submit on frozen gel pack. Methemoglobin specimen is stable for 8 hours at 2 – 8 degrees C. Carboxyhemoglobin specimen is stable for 7 days at 2-8 degrees C. Contact the Respiratory department prior to specimen arrival.
