| Test Includes: | Testing for C. difficile is performed using a rapid membrane enzyme immunoassay (C.diff Quik Chek Complete®) for the simultaneous detection of Clostridium difficile common antigen (glutamate dehydrogenase antigen, GDH) and toxins A/B. Specimens positive for only one of these targets (GDH-only or Toxin A/B-only) are tested by PCR (Xpert® C. difficile/Epi) for confirmation. | ||
