Indications:For the investigation of non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC).
Method:Real-time PCR
Method Details:DNA extraction from FFPE is performed using the QIAsymphony DSP DNA Mini Kit from Qiagen (Valencia, CA.). The EGFR Mutation Assay is a Real-Time PCR assay performed using the QIAGEN EGFR RGQ PCR kit run on the Life Technologies QuantStudio instrument. This assay is capable of detecting Exon 19 deletions, L858R, L861Q, G719X (identifies but does not differentiate G719A/S/C), S768I, Exon 20 insertions, and T790M mutations.

The estimated sensitivity of this assay is 1-3%.
