Help shape Alberta's health care services

Alberta Health Services is recruiting one individual whose life have been touched by cancer, either as a patient or through the experience of a family member or close friend to serve on this advisory council:

  • The council advises Alberta Health Services on cancer issues in the best interest of Albertans and participates in the development of recommendations in this area
  • The council solicits and provides feedback from the public to support the strategic direction of Alberta Health Services as well as the cancer program
  • Meetings are held four times per year alternating between Edmonton and Calgary

The Advisory Council will:

Consider and provide evidence-based suggestions to AHS on the following services as it relates to cancer:

  • prevention
  • diagnosis, treatment and care
  • research

The Council works in partnership with CancerControl Alberta.
