Cancer Care Alberta for Health Professionals

Surveillance & Reporting develops and provides analysis and evidence to drive improvements in Cancer Care Alberta that will reduce the burden of cancer in Albertans.

The Surveillance & Reporting department collects, integrates, analyzes, interprets and disseminates cancer information concerning occurrence, treatment and outcomes in Alberta. The department ensures that timely, accurate and relevant information is distributed to support effective planning, monitoring and evaluation of cancer control programs in early detection, patient treatment and care, and research.

This information is compiled using data from the Alberta Cancer Registry, Cancer Care EMR, and as well other data sources.
