Group Savings Plan

Provided through Manulife

AHS employees are offered a simple and effective way to save for the future by opening a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) and/or Tax Free Savings Account (TFSA). The Group Savings Plan has lower investment management fees than most individual plans and contributions can be made through the convenience of payroll deductions.

RRSP – These types of savings plans are normally used to save towards retirement. Contributions to your RRSP are tax deductible from your current taxable income, with taxes deferred until these savings are withdrawn.

TFSA – This is a special savings account where no tax is paid on investment earnings, capital gains and dividends earned on after-taxed funds deposited into the account when withdrawn. Savings can be withdrawn tax-free at any time and used to meet retirement or other personal financial needs.
