This cardiac outpatient clinic is dedicated to the education and management of patients who have complex care needs related to atrial fibrillation and/or atrial flutter.Most patients with atrial fibrillation can be managed by their family physician or a general cardiologist. This cardiac clinic is focused on the management of: Patients with complex care decisions regarding medications used to control or treat atrial fibrillation and/or atrial flutter Patients who may need procedures to manage or treat their atrial fibrillation and/or atrial flutter (for example, an ablation procedure and/or pacemaker) Patients who have recurrent atrial fibrillation and/or atrial flutter at a younger age (typically, under 50 years old) Patients are discharged from the clinic once their condition has been stabilized.

Patients must have ECG documentation of atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter, and must have a family physician for ongoing care.
