Stroke Unit
Provides acute medical care to stroke patients.This service provides:
- medical care for patients with a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA)
- access to neuro-rehabilitation programs for stroke patients and their families
- medical consultation to other service providers (e.g., inpatient services at other adult sites, and community family physicians / programs)
- consultation to other service providers such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians and speech-language pathologists
