Audiology Services - Specialized

This service assesses and diagnoses hearing loss.

Services at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital include:

  • Hearing tests for children from birth to 6 years of age who wear hearing aids. NOTE: Does not offer hearing aid services. These services are accessed privately
  • Special tests (ABR) for babies 1 - 6 months of age who were referred on their newborn hearing screening
  • Testing for patients 7 years of age to adult who are dizzy or have balance issues.

Designated disabled parking spaces underground (Level 0) and on the 4th (weather-sheltered pedway) level of the East parkade.

Eligibility

Clients must:

  • Have complex hearing or balance needs that can't be assessed and/or managed at an audiology service, community hospital or health centre site, OR

  • Have complex balance problems, be at least 7 years of age and be able to follow multi-step directions to undergo the balance assessment.
