This program supports children requiring home non-invasive ventilation in Northern Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.The Stollery's Pediatric Non-invasive Ventilation (NIV) Program offers respiratory assessment and management of children who require home non-invasive ventilation (NIV). This program includes infants and children with a variety of sleep-related breathing disorders and respiratory insufficiency or failure who require NIV - either CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) or BPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure). NIV Outpatient Clinics are inter-disciplinary and work closely with community-based partners to provide integrated services to children and families including: telemedicine and virtual care options respiratory assessment access to the Stollery's Pediatric Sleep Laboratory for polysomnograms (overnight sleep studies) NIV equipment assessment mask fitting and headgear adaptation services education and support for children requiring NIV and their families Our program includes the following: Pediatric Non-Invasive Ventilation Outpatient Clinics at the Stollery Children's Hospital Pediatric Non-Invasive Ventilation New Start Clinics Pediatric Non-Invasive Ventilation Pre-hospital Discharge Clinics Pediatric Neuromuscular Disease Clinic (Glenrose) respiratory and sleep assessments Non-Invasive Ventilation Adult Transition Clinics

Infants and children < 18 years old requiring non-invasive ventilation (CPAP / BPAP).

Patients are referred only directly through the Stollery Sleep Medicine Program.
