Sleep Disorders Program
he Sleep Disorders Program in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine provide diagnosis, consultations, and follow-up of sleep disorders including sleep disordered breathing and non-respiratory sleep disorders such as parasomnias, circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders, restless leg syndrome, disorders of hypersomnolence such as narcolepsy, etc.Service provides:
- assessment and treatment of patients who require level 1 sleep studies (aka polysomnograms, PSGs)
- assess and manage sleep disorders, not limited to the following conditions: sleep disordered breathing (ex., OSA, hypoventilation, Cheyne-Stokes breathing, central sleep apnea) and non-respiratory sleep disorders (parasomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, narcolepsy, sleep-related movement disorders, restless legs syndrome, circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders)
- access to in-hospital titration of PAP therapy if medically appropriate and / or urgent PSG access
