Outpatient Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Clinic

This clinic provides psychiatric consultation services to multidisciplinary specialty medical clinics (eg: gastroenterology, cardiology, nephrology, neurology) within Alberta Health Services in the Calgary Zone.

This clinic provides psychiatric consultation and assessment services for patients with severe medical and moderate to severe co-morbid psychiatric issues. This is a physician only clinic. The referring clinic / physician must remain involved in the patients’ care. Referrals are not accepted from Access Mental Health and must come directly from the multidisciplinary specialty medical clinic through Connect Care.

Eligibility

This clinic does not accept referrals from community clinics, Hospital Emergency Rooms, Urgent Care Clinics, or Inpatient Hospital Units.
The referring clinic must continue to follow the referred patient.
This clinic does not have any multidisciplinary supports such as social work, nursing or therapists.
