Transplant Dermatology

Provides specialized dermatology care to transplanted patients.

Transplanted patients are seen by dermatologists, these are internal referrals within the Southern Alberta Transplant (ALTRA) program.

Eligibility

Skin Cancer
At 1-year post-transplant, consider Transplant Dermatology Referral if any of the following criteria are met:
• Age >50 years old at the time of transplant
• Caucasian
• Prior skin cancer
• >5 years post-transplant
Otherwise, skin cancer surveillance can be arranged by the family physician or
community Dermatologist
