Neuro Rehabilitation

Offers rehabilitation for clients who have had a neurological injury, with expertise in stroke rehabilitation, who are past the acute phase of their illness before they return home or move to another care setting.

Provides comprehensive inpatient care and treatment with a goal to maximizing recovery, especially for people recovering from a stroke, using an interdisciplinary, evidence-based and client-centered approach. In order to achieve the client's goals, this may include:

  • nursing and medical assessment and treatment
  • physical therapy
  • occupational therapy
  • speech language pathology
  • recreation therapy
  • social work support
  • dietitian visits
  • physiatry involvement
  • home visits
  • trial passes off the unit or to home
  • client and family education and training

Clients are usually transferred to this unit from a hospital site.
