Cochlear Implant Service

The Cochlear Implant Service supports people of all ages who have severe to profound hearing loss, when traditional hearing aids no longer provide sufficient benefit.

An assessment is carried out to determine whether an individual meets the criteria for cochlear implantation.  For those who receive a cochlear implant, the service is responsible for programming the sound processors, providing ongoing support, and monitoring of the device over time to ensure it continues to function effectively.
