Orthopedics Clinics - Pediatric

Provides assessment, intervention, education and follow-up for children who require surgical or medical (non-surgical) management of conditions of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles, tendons).

Reasons for referral include:

  • general orthopedic care (fractures and acute infections or injuries)
  • leg-length discrepancies (either congenital or acquired)
  • hip instability (congenital dislocated hip (CHD)
  • Legge-Perthes disease); tumors of the bones or muscles
  • scoliosis and other spinal disorders
  • foot deformities (club feet, flat feet)
  • musculoskeletal problems associated with Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy or other neuromuscular diseases.
