This service provides specialized clinical assessment and treatment services to clients referred by their provider within Recovery Alberta only.

Clinical Psychology Services provides specialized clinical assessment and treatment services to clients referred by their provider within Recovery Alberta (internal providers, psychiatrists, and clinicians).

Formal assessment: Comprehensive assessment using standardized psychological measures.

Group treatment: CPS uses evidenced-based cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), specifically the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders. Clinical psychologists engage each client in collaborative outcome monitoring during group treatment. The client and their referring provider receive treatment recommendations on care transition.

Eligibility

Adult services only. Consideration of youth 17 years of age, and seniors whose needs do not require specialized geriatric psychiatry consultation or services. Must have an active Recovery Alberta care provider who will remain involved in the client's care.
