Videonystagmography Services

Videonystagmography (VNG) is a diagnostic test used to determine the cause of dizziness, vertigo, or balance difficulties.

VNG is commonly recommended for individuals experiencing persistent or unexplained dizziness, vertigo or spinning sensations, unsteadiness or loss of balance, or nausea related to movement.

Eligibility

Patients may present with:

  • dizziness, or
  • complex balance problems.

Patients must be at least seven years of age to undergo the balance assessment and be able to follow multi-step directions.

PLEASE NOTE: For all VNG and rotary chair testing, equipment weight restrictions limit testing to clients less than or equal to 300lb body weight.
