Cardiac Diagnostics - Stress Testing

Exercise Stress Test

An exercise stress test (or cardiac stress test) checks how your heart works during physical activity, usually by walking on a treadmill while hooked up to an EKG and blood pressure cuff, to diagnose coronary artery disease, find the cause of symptoms like chest pain, and determine safe exercise levels by monitoring your heart's response as the intensity increases. A Pediatric Holter monitor is a small, portable device that continuously records your heart's electrical activity (ECG) for 24 hours or more while you go about your daily routine, helping doctors diagnose irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias, palpitations), assess heart conditions, and check if medications are working. We do not perform pediatric stress tests at this site. We do not perform adult holters at this site.
