Engage in Your Community
Patients, families and everyday Albertans are important stakeholders for Alberta Health Services. They help us transform our health system through:
- gathering information including public input respecting health, health needs and health services for the residents of the communities we serve;
- providing advice to AHS about health issues, health needs and health priorities, access to health services, the promotion of health, and other matters;
- promoting and participating in activities that enhance the health of residents of the communities we serve.
Get Involved
Think of the difference you can make to the health and well-being of your family, friends, neighbours and community by sharing your thoughts and ideas with us. There are a number of ways to get involved:
- Attend an upcoming council meeting. Agendas and notices are posted here.
- Make a presentation at a council meeting on a health area of interest or concern.
- Think about volunteering your time as a council member. Recruitment drives happen annually. Members are appointed for a three-year term.
