Addiction and Mental Health - Forensic Assessment and Community Services (Legal)

Provides assessment and treatment to adults who have a legal obligation, addiction and mental health concerns, and are formally assessed as being medium to high risk to reoffend.

FACS provides assessment and treatment to adults who are 18 years of age and older and meet the following mandate (must meet three criteria):

  • addiction and mental health concerns
  • legal obligation
  • formally assessed as being medium to high risk for reoffending based on

Eligibility

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Referrals to FACS are accepted from the Courts and Community Corrections.
