Vestibular Rehabilitation

This physical therapy outpatient service uses an exercise-based approach to assist people who are experiencing dizziness or balance issues related to inner ear problems.

Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise-based approach designed to facilitate the brain's compensation for damage to the inner ear balance system. It provides specialized physical therapy assessment and intervention for clients who have confirmed vestibular disorders supported by objective findings on testing. At the Glenrose, vestibular rehabilitation is provided by physical therapists using specialized technologies in the treatment of unilateral or bilateral vestibular hypofunction and Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.
