Cervical Screening

Offers cervical cancer screening tests for people who are having cultural or other barriers.

Female physicians provide cervical cancer screening tests (also called Pap tests) for women who have trouble accessing services because of cultural or other barriers.

Eligibility

Start screening after three years from onset of sexual activity* or age 25, whichever is later.

People with a cervix aged 21-24 may be eligible for optional testing. To find out if you need testing, visit https://screeningforlife.ca/

*Sexual activity includes intercourse as well as digital or oral sexual activity involving the genital area with a partner of any gender.

Service Access

Birth Control Centre's main focus is providing contraception to those who face barriers but we offer cervical screening to our patients who qualify for testing.
