Alberta Health Services eSIM Provincial Simulation Program

 Location: Alberta Wide

This program uses simulation as an educational tool and technique for healthcare improvement and patient safety and to increase capacity and capabilities for staff, physicians and leaders across Alberta Health Services (AHS).

eSIM (educate, Simulate, Innovate, Motivate) uses simulation to generate knowledge, improve individual and team competencies, as well as, system performance. In simulation, clinical events are recreated to engage individuals, teams, systems and communities in an interactive, immersive and meaningful “real-world” experience, often through self-reflection and guided facilitation.

eSIM's team of simulation consultants, technologists, and assistants support multiple simulation centres and satellite simulation spaces provincially. Our program also has the unique ability to reach remote areas of the province via mobile simulation and an innovative virtually facilitated simulation program.
