Pediatric Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program (PBIRP)

Offers follow-up assessment and monitors the rehabilitation needs of children with moderate to severe acquired brain injury.

This clinic is designed to provide follow-up assessment and monitors the rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents with moderate (GCS 9 to 12) to severe (GCS 8 or less) acquired brain injuries until their 18th birthdays.

Patients in coma, or vegetative state are not assessed through the Pediatric Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program..

  • Disabled and public parking are available on designated surface lots and in the underground parkade.
  • Public transportation available with bus stops along 111 Avenue in front of the Main Entrance of the GRH.

Clinics are held 8:00 AM to12:00 PM (noon) on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.

Eligibility

Service is targeted to:

  • Children ages 1 to 17 years of age with moderate to severe brain injuries.
  • Patients in a coma or vegetative state are not assessed through the Pediatric Brain Injury Rehabiliation Program.
