Community Addiction and Mental Health Services - Rural

Provides assessment, treatment and follow up to individuals experiencing moderate to severe addiction and mental health concerns.

Services are provided across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, emerging adults, adults, and seniors. Clinicians work with individuals and families, as appropriate, to identify treatment goals and provide short-term, goal-focused counselling for addiction and mental health concerns.

Other services include:

  • Geriatric consultation services for facilities and healthcare providers (referral from a healthcare provider is required)
  • Outreach services, including Mobile Mental Health; with intake through Access Mental Health
  • Urgent walk-in mental health care (hours vary) at selected Urgent Care Centres in Airdrie, Banff, Canmore, Cochrane, and Okotoks

addictions counsellors, family counsellors, geriatric mental health clinicians, mental health therapists, outreach workers, psychiatrists
Eligibility

Service targeted to individual who:

  • present with moderate to severe mental health symptoms
  • would like to change their relatonship with substance use
