Pediatric Neurology Clinic

Diagnosis and treatment of a full range of possible or known neurological conditions for infants, children and youth.

Using a coordinated care approach, this service manages children with complex seizure disorders and neurological conditions. Education is also offered to the child, their family, and the community.

Service Providers May Include
neurologists, pediatricians, pharmacists, registered nurses (RNs), social workers
Eligibility

Ages 0 to 17 years.

Exclusion Criteria (the following referrals will not be routinely accepted to the Pediatric Neurology Clinic):

  • global development delay - unless referred by a pediatrician
  • first seizures in children over 1 year of age
  • febrile convulsions
  • atypical febrile convulsion - unless seen & referred by a pediatrician
  • non-debilitating headaches
  • syncope or fainting spells
  • breath-holding spells
  • self-stimulatory behaviors
