Outpatient Cancer Drug Benefit Program

The Outpatient Cancer Drug Benefit Program (OCDBP) provides, without charge, cancer drugs to registered Alberta cancer patients.

Cancer drugs are provided, without charge, to registered Alberta cancer patients through specific locations in the province.

Effective May 4: The hours of operation of the Alberta Cancer Telephone Line are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM. Callers can leave a message after hours and will be contacted the next day.

Recipients must be:

  • covered by Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan
  • registered in the Cancer Registry with a disease classified in the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology
  • require drugs to treat cancer
