Stroke Prevention Clinic

The clinic focuses on prevention or recurrence of a stroke, and identification and management of risk factors, in clients who have had a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), or those at risk for stroke or TIA.

Services include:

  • individual and group education sessions related to stroke, lifestyle, and risk factors**
  • Stroke Navigator provides in person support for clients when attending their virtual health Edmonton Stroke Prevention Clinic appointments with the Neurologist.
  • referral to other programs as required

** Sessions available in Grande Prairie only.

Eligibility

Eligible clients include:

  • those who have had stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA)
  • those who are high risk for stroke or TIA
