Respite Care

Respite care provides a scheduled break for caregivers from caring for the chronically or terminally ill person living at home.

In- Facililty overnight respite care located in long term care centers within the Calgary Zone.

Access
Service Providers May Include
health care aids (HCAs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs)
Eligibility

Must be a home care client.

Referral Needed

Referral is processed by the AHS Home Care Case Manager.

Fees

Please discuss with the AHS Case Manager.

May apply for hardship funding.
