Cardiac Rehabilitation

Offers education and support for a healthier, more active lifestyle to reduce the risk of future heart problems.

Offers teaching about heart disease and exercise, which includes these topics:

  • heart-smart nutrition
  • risk factors
  • exercise and leisure time
  • managing stress
  • heart disease and your feelings
  • conserving energy
  • understanding your medicine

There are resources to help you quit smoking if needed. You can bring someone with you to the sessions if you want to. The programs will help you adjust to having a heart problem, learn about exercise routines, plan meals, and learn about medicine.

Your doctor will monitor your blood pressure, heart rate, and blood work.
