High Prairie Health Complex Auxiliary Society

We are a group of volunteers who work with hospital administration and staff to improve patient comfort. The High Prairie Health Complex Auxiliary Society supports the High Prairie Health Complex, the J. B. Wood Continuing Care Centre and community health services run by the Public Health Unit Office.

The Auxiliary uses a number of creative methods to raise funds in order to assist Alberta Health Services in purchasing necessary equipment. We also operate a gift shop in the High Prairie Health Complex that is run by volunteers.

The Auxiliary has purchased:

  • Ipad and AudioBox for pediatric patients
  • patient lift
  • bathroom caddy
  • vein finder
  • ECG machine
  • green light laser
  • life packs
  • cuddle cot

The Auxiliary also handles the administration of a bursary program, as well as donations made in memory of loved ones. The Auxiliary is responsible for the care and upkeep of the Donor Wall.
