Emerging Adult Treatment Clinic

This clinic helps young people between the ages of 16-24 years who are struggling with a mental health issue with their transition from adolescent mental health services into adulthood.

Services include:

  • individual and / or group therapy
  • psychiatric consultations (when and if necessary)
  • referral to adult mental health services (when and if necessary).

Service Providers May Include
mental health therapists, psychiatrists

For young people between 16-24 years of age who:

  • have a clear clinical mental health issue or diagnosis
  • have a history within a mental health system
  • express and demonstrate interest and motivation to develop goals and work toward change. Individuals with an Neuro-developmental disorders need to be able to demonstrate their ability to benefit from talked-based and insight-based therapy.
Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Referrals typically need to be sent to Access Mental Health for processing. Self-referrals can be made by calling Access Mental Health. Referrals from WITHIN the Child and Adolescent Addiction and Mental Health Programs do not need to go through Access MH - they can be faxed directly to the program for processing (403-955-8780)
