Continence Clinic

The Continence Clinic provides assessment and treatment for adults and children.

This clinic offers assessment and treatment for adults with bowel or bladder concerns, including:

  • urinary urgency
  • urinary incontinence
  • nocturia
  • incontinence on exertion
  • constipation
  • accidental loss of stool
  • recurrent urinary tract infection
  • prolapse
  • urogenital atrophy

Treatments may include:

  • pelvic floor exercises
  • bladder retraining
  • fluid adjustment
  • use of catheters
  • continence products
  • medications
  • referrals for surgery

  • Disabled and public parking are available on designated surface lots and in the underground parkade.
  • Public transportation available with bus stops along 111 Avenue in front of the Main Entrance of the GRH.
  • Pay-by-Plate parking is available.

Eligibility

The clinic is open to all adults (18+ years) residing within the Province of Alberta who may have bowel or bladder issues.
